PERSEVERANCE

"Perseverance is a positive, active characteristic. It is not idly, passively waiting and hoping for some good thing to happen.  It gives us hope by helping us realize that the righteous suffer no failure except in giving up and no longer trying.  We must never give up, regardless of temptations, frustrations, disappointments, or discouragements".

Oh come on....how strong of a person does it take to never give up regardless of temptations, frustrations, disappointments, or discouragements.  How much can one person take?  I had someone ask me once if I was really "that" motivated and optimistic or is it all just part of my marketing for the "Primo" business?  I had to laugh-- I believe there is an occassional person born truly motivated and positive despite all odds but I think most of us have to make the concious decision as to how we will conquer each day and all the "stuff" that fills it.  How do we stay positive, motivated, focused, on track, facing our fears, persevering, and believing in ourselves?? This is no easy task but WE are the only one to make that decision; WE are the only one who can create the kind of life we want.  So, am I really that motivated and optimistic?? Do I live each day persevering, believing, and winning.....NO....there, I admitted it! But I do believe in the power of those 3 words, and making the concious decision despite tempatations, frustrations, disappointments and discouragement whether with the business or in my personal life to strive for optimism and success despite all obstacles. How bout you?

"SHOUT OUT"  -- I love getting the paper on Wednesday to read the "success Story" in the living section.  Today I have to "shout out" to 2 amazing women that are changing their lives one pound at a time.  Another primo example of finding your inner strength, embracing your challenges, working hard, persevering, believing and becoming a winner!  Sara Robbins and LInda Sykes lost a combined 85 lbs and based on the photo in the paper they each look vibrant, healthy, and 10 years younger.  What I really love is that Sara has taken her experience a step further and has created a blog to motivate and inspire others to get fit and healthy.  Both ladies as well as a third co-worker motivate each other and hold each other accountable which in my opinion is critical to following through and achieving your goals. I preach persevering, believing, and succeeding on this blog, on my website and on facebook, twitter and linkedin...you bet your bottom dollar I am being held accountable and won't be quiting any time soon Ladies, keep up the great work! You are truly an inspiration to others!! You Found Your Primo!

Today's Advice Needed: Since we are on the topic of food and diet....I find when I'm faced with a task that seems too big (like re-writing the business plan) I go straight to food. Can be healthy or unhealthy (unhealthy is better) but anything to take me away from the mountain in front of me (ironically this is why I love the First 1 Up WIns Hiker t-shirt so much) Anyway, I know this is pretty common but I would love a healthier, less fattening, more productive way to tackle the task. THOUGHTS???
